Using RealControl for groundwater and surface water monitoring

Water quality monitoring

MEGA and TUL developed RealControl technology for remote monitoring of groundwater and surface water quality and for managing remediation technologies. The unit allows sampling from up to ten boreholes on a polygon of approximately 10×10 m. The unit with technology and modules is centrally located at the site. Thanks to the modular structure using a PLC and integrated web server, the unit can be tailored to specific needs and remotely controlled in real-time.

Technology for sale or rent

We offer the technology as a product with a basic setup (hardware, setup, training) or as a service that we run throughout the project. On-site we prepare everything according to the requirements, install and set up professionally. Together, we set up the permissible value watchdogs that will notify us and you by e-mail. In the web interface, you can continuously monitor the development of the measured parameters, adjust the measurement intervals, and download the measured data.

How does RealControl work

The central unit controls the sampling system, calibrates the pH probes, and takes care of the measurement of the sampled groundwater parameters. The standard measurements are pH, ORP, specific conductance (conductivity and temperature). The central unit may also include control of the remediation technology and may be supplemented by a weather station. Centralization of measurements brings significant economic savings and thanks to the use of the same probes, the influence of different technologies on the resulting values is minimized.
