Today, one of the key issues in the processing of whey or dairy by-products is the choice of technology to turn this "waste" into new income. The main challenge is the choice of heat treatment. Is the cold, warm or hot process a better choice?

MEGA has successfully completed more than 90 ED projects for dairy applications worldwide. It has extensive experience in the installation of cold, warm and hot electrodialysis. MEGA has also conducted a number of pilot tests to compare the effect of temperature in cold, warm and hot processes on the overall electrodialysis process. The results obtained lead us to the conclusions and recommendations presented below.
