Cataphoresis or electrophoretic coating in general is the most high-tech, economical and highly ecological way of coating. It is used as a surface treatment of metal products, especially for steel, galvanized and aluminium parts. We provide complete industrial lines for:

Currently, a cataphoretic coating is technologically the most advanced method of anticorrosive surface treatment for metal products.

Cataphoretic coating is mainly used as a base layer, followed by other surface treatments (dipping or powder coating). However, it is also often used as a final, single-layer, painting. The use of cataphoretic coating guarantees a significant increase in the corrosion resistance and utility properties of the products, which are significantly increasing its application on the market.

Industrial lines for cataphoretic coating are designed according to customer requirements and needs. The lines are constructed depending on the type of assortment and with regard to the batch production of coated parts. The final concept of cataphoresis is always chosen according to the economic advantage for the customer.

The pressure on corrosion resistance combined with the advantages of the highly economical surface treatment process together with the environmentally friendly operation has made cataphoretic coating an important technology, especially for the automotive industry. HAUK

Complete cataphoresis line with biofilter

In 2020, MEGA-TEC delivered a complete turnkey cataphoresis coating plant for the Czech company HAUK. The technology includes a complete cataphoresis paint shop including a wastewater neutralisation plant and a biofilter for the disposal of VOCs and odours from the exhaust air. The paint shop is used for industrial painting of automotive parts and spare parts, mainly for VW Group (Škoda).

The technology has a variable chemical pre-treatment and in the future it envisages the addition of a second KTL painting node in grey.

BWI GROUP complete EC line

BWI GROUP

Complete EC line

In 2016 MEGA-TEC has supplied a complete EC line for the czech subsidiary of BWI GROUP. The tact line also includes afterburner and neutralization station and is used for industrial coating of autmotive shock absorbers.

The step by step line with pretreatment and electrocoating bath uses a "Walking beam" conveyor above each technological section. During a single tact all suspensions change their position while retaining variable function times of each operation.
