The IDF World Dairy Summit in Auckland, New Zealand

Company MEGA a.s. attended The World Dairy Summit at the SKYCITY Auckland from 4 November until 11 November.

The event "MEGA Cup 2010"

The MEGA company organized some social events called “MEGA Cup 2010” for business partners and potential customers from 14th till 15th May.

On Friday evening we prepared an interesting program in the AJETO glassworks. Everyone saw the work of glassmakers, and could create their own product, later they relaxed in a stylish glass tavern.

The main program was on Saturday. The participants competed in various sport disciplines and tried riding the electric vehicle "Segway". The event was finished with dancing and listening to live music by “The Slovakia younger”.

We would like to thank our partners and the organizing team for help with preparing the MEGA Cup 2010 and with creating an excellent atmosphere during the event.

The visit of the President Vaclav Klaus and his wife in the Liberec Region has been postponed.

The scheduled visit of the President of the Czech Republic Vaclav Klaus in MEGA a.s. on Tuesday 06th.April.2010, was postponed because the presidents Barack Obama and Dmitry Medvedev are coming to sign a new nuclear arms treaty on April 8 in Prague.

The alternate date of the visit will be determined after the meeting of the President Office with leaders of the Liberec Region.

Skiing trip 2010 - Bedrichov

This year the company MEGA a.s. prepared the stay in the mountains for MEGA staff’s children in the term from 13.01.2010 to 17.01.2010. We tried snowboarding and we hope that the children got the basic snowboard skills and improved the style of skiing.
We enjoyed the stay in the mountains very much and we look forward to our meeting again in the house Ferienhaus (Bedřichov) next year.

IDA WORLD CONGRESS 2009

Company MEGA a.s. attended the most significant international conference in the field of „Water desalination and recycling“ – IDA World Congress 2009, held from 7th till 12th November 2009.

The conference took place in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, with its´ motto: „Desalination for a better World“ and welcomed the most important world-leading companies and specialists in the field of water treatment.

 
We were presented by our own exhibition stand, aimed mostly at new technological solutions for desalination of brackish water and recycling of sewerage water by means of electromemebrane processes -  the solutions presented at the exhibition stand were developed by team of our experts.

 

The Aquapark Tatralandia 2009

As every year, the management of MEGA a.s. arranged one-week stay for the children of our employees. The location of our stay was in the largest water park Aquapark Tatralandia in Slovakia in the term from 16th till 23rd August 2009.

The Lecture on "The potential of electromembrane and integrated membrane processes"

In the company MEGA a.s. took place the lecture of  Prof.. Dr. H. Strathmanna on "The potential of electromembrane and integrated membrane processes" on 30.07.2009
Lectures and the subsequent debate about electrodeionization, capacitive de-ionisation and reverse electrodialysis was attended by experts of membrane processes from the staff of MEGA and subsidiaries MemBrain s.r.o.

 

The workers meeting of the Department of superficial processing

The first informal meeting of our important partners and employees in the field of materials and technologies for superficial processing took place in Bystrice nad Pernstejnem on Friday 19th June.
In spite of the fact that the weather was not favourable, everybody took part in sports activities, different questions were being discussed and spent tasting local wines in the evening. And also the music band „ Slovacko mladší “accompanied all the evening.

We hope that we managed to put the basis of good tradition for such meetings and, therefore, we can only say“Goodbye next time”.

The Conference of the Operational Programme Industry and Enterprise

The final Conference of the Operational Programme Industry and Enterprise took place in Prague hotel TOP on 18th June 2009

The conference was organized by Ministry of Industry and trade of the Czech Republic together with Economic chamber of the Czech Republic.

The purpose of the conference was to present results of operative program and its contribution to development of business and industrial production within regions of the Czech Republic.
The company MEGA a.s. took over the prestigious award for the most successful project in “INNOVATION" (Continuous production of laminated ion-exchange membranes and their further processing for the purposes of membrane processes)

The world conference "PERMEA 2009"

MEGA a.s. has become the general sponsor of the world conference PERMEA 2009 which will take place in Prague between June 7th and 10th, 2009.
This conference is focused on membrane processes which belong to our main activities.

The company MEGA a.s. took part in the 7th International forum "Dairy Industry 2009" from 16th till 19th March 2009 in Moscow.

We have been taking part in the exhibition for fife years and every year the quantity of visitors of our stand grows. During this time many potential customers have became our partners and friends, some people came for the first time. We are pleased that the interest in processing whey real is. And not only within the limits of ecological aspects, but also from the point of view to be able to get profit on processing such important dairy raw material like dairy whey. Our technologists and experts have gathered huge experience in questions concerning processing of dairy whey technology. Nowadays they actively help the dairy enterprises with decisions on many issues connected with waste less and economic dairy whey processing.

We have attended the symposium „PROJECTINGS AND OPERATING OF SURFACE TREATMENTS“ that was held in hotel Pyramida, Prague on  11. – 12. 3. 2009. Mr. L. The ball MEGA a.s. and MEGA-TEC

The traditional ball of MEGA a.s. and MEGA-TEC took place in Bystrice nad Pernstejnem on Saturday 14.02.2009. Mr. Joza Kolar, the presenter of the radio Vysocina , ran this event in very good atmosphere all the evening. The dancing group La Quadrilla performed some exhibitions of Irish dances, the skilful barmen didn’t mix only good drinks but they also showed their art on the parquet. The main guest of the ball was the artist Petr Muk who sang his greatest hits. The group L.I.F. played to dancing and listening. Everybody, who was at the ball, certainly enjoyed it and went home very pleased with the wish that the next ball should be as successful as it was this year.

The 7th International forum "Dairy Industry 2009" in Moscow

The company MEGA a.s. will take part in the 7th International forum "Dairy Industry 2009" in the International Exhibition Centre "Krokus Expo" in Moscow from 16th to 19th March 2009.

The leaders of the Liberec region visited MEGA a.s.

The commissioner of Liberec region Stanislav Eichler, Bc. and his deputy Vít Příkaský, RNDr., who is responsible for economic and region’s development, visited MEGA a.s. They were invited by the general director of MEGA a.s. Ing. Lubos Novak on 02.02.2009

The purposeof their visit was to introduce our company especially during their personal walk around all the divisions, to inform the council of Liberec region about the planned construction of the Membrane centre in Straz pod Ralskem which will fit the European context by its size, and to draw their attention to questions of getting finance from EU funding.

The leaders of Liberec region expressed understanding and support for this plan and claimed it fits the Regional innovation strategy in Liberec region.

 

Skiing trip 2009 - Bedrichov

At the time of 13.01.2009 -17.01.2009, the MEGA staff’s children took part in the traditional skiing trip in the Jizera Mountains. The owners of the guesthouse Ferienhaus gave us very comfortable accommodation. We would like to say them: 'Thank you for your nice cooperation.' at this place.

The weather was excellent and there was the thick snow cover at the whole ski area in Bedrichov. We devoted a lot of time and effort to get our skiing technique better and we also trained various skiing skills. Children's free time was fulfilled by a bowling match of two teams (boys to girls) and by a disco with karaoke.

Our staying in the mountains passed off very quickly in relaxed atmosphere, and most of our children made new friends there.

PARIS - DISNEYLAND

MEGA a.s. organized a trip to Paris and Disneyland for the children of its staff from 28.08.2008 to 31.08.2008.

During the first day in France we visited some of the most attractive places in Paris as the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Montmartre, Sacré Coeur and we also took a boat trip on the Seine. The greatest adventure for the children was a day trip to Disneyland. Escalators took us to the fairy world, where we spent all day on fabulous attractions. The children tried a flight to the Space, they visited the House of Fear, had a boat trip with pirates; they rode a switchback and others. We left France in the evening on 30.08.2008 and came home on Sunday morning.

The weather was nice all the time and the trip got us much unforgettable enjoyment (see the photo below).

MEGA Cups 2007 and 2008

Our company MEGA a.s. organized next two informal meetings called “MEGA Cup” in June 2007 and 2008. These events took place in the beautiful settings of the Malevil ranch in the Lusatian Mountains and were set for our current business partners and prospective customers. They competed in various sport disciplines for example: tennis, bowling, airgun shooting, golf, horse riding, quadricycles, zorbing and extreme climbing on a wall. We tried to make a lovely and friendly atmosphere between the staff of MEGA a.s. and its customers. In their opinion, these events prove the interest of the company MEGA a.s. in its business partners.

As you can see in the pictures, the participants of MEGA Cups enjoyed these days very much. Besides spending nice weekends, they learned up-to-date information about MEGA company products and its future plans.

We would like to thank to our customers and business partners for participation and to MEGA staff for help with preparing the MEGA Cups 2007 and 2008.

MEGA a.s. will take part in the international conference “Ion exchange in organic and inorganic membranes” which is organised by the Kuban state university in Krasnodar (Rossija) from 22^nd to 25^th May 2007.

MEGA a.s. introduced news in the field of whey processing based on membrane processes. Big interest in MEGA a.s. production was shown during the whole exhibition, particularly in technology of demineralisation of whey and also in technology of processing of traditional milk products based on milk whey. MEGA a.s. obtained the golden medal for its electrodialyser used for demineralisation of whey and for its other results in this field.

Conference under the heading “What is new in the technology of dairy products”

The All-Russian Scientific-Practical Conference under the heading “What is new in the technology of dairy products” took place in Adler near the Black See (Russia) between 26th and 29th September 2006. MEGA took part in this event and was represented by Managing Director Lubos Novak and his team. More than 350 participants represented dairy works and various companies from Russia, Ukraine, Italy and Germany. MEGA presented a new technology in dairy industry (processing of milk, demineralisation of whey) using membrane processes. MEGA announced launching of the first electrodialysis equipment for demineralisation of whey, produced by MEGA a.s. for the company „Kuzbasskoncervmoloko“.  The membranes technologies which MEGA provides are very attractive for milk producers because they enable to process the whey effectively and economically. The tinned and concentrated milk produced by „Kuzbasskoncervmoloko“ and using MEGA´s electrodialysis equipment was awarded by a gold medal for high quality and fine taste. The award was handed over to Mr. V. Barsukov, director of the company „Kuzbasskoncervmoloko“.

Summer School on Membranes

The participants of XXIII EMS Summer School on Membranes - SMART MATERIALS that was organized by Institute of macromolecular chemistry in Prague 3.-6.9.2006, visited MEGA a.s. They have possibilities to discuss with Mesa's technicians a problematic of membrane processes and they could visit production of membranes during this excursion. The excursion continues in the Baroque castle Lemberk that lies near from MEGA factory.

MEGA Cup 2006

The 7th MEGA Cup – informal business partners appointment was in Saturday June 3, 2006. We prepared for them Saturday full of sports and relaxation in Ranch Malevil in Hermanice v Podjestedi. The winner of traditional tennis tournament has happened couple Lubos Novak and Libor Nejedly (both from MEGA a.s.) who beat in dramatic final couple Zdenek Masik (Areal Sportu Bystrice nad Pernstejnem) and Libor Novak (IRCON, s.r.o.). The couple Josef Linderoth (KEMIRA) and Tomislav Prochazka (Real Invest CL a.s.) won third position. Next competitive activites were: adrenalin centre, bowling, darts, golf, biking. Was played squash and beach volleyball too. The beautiful diploma and medal obtained the winners of each    disciplines.
The magician exhibition snatched everybody. The band Country Rebels played to late night hours and for somebody party finished morning.

MEGA´s Beijing Representative Office (China)

On February 28, 2006, the Beijing Administration for Industry and Commerce (BAIC) formally accepted an application by MEGA, a.s.  to open a Representative Office in Beijing, China.  A preliminary licence number  0002258 has been assigned for MEGA, a.s. (China) by BAIC. BAIC expects to formalize the license by March 15, 2006. Mr. Antonio L. Zate, Managing Director of PBA-USA,  has been  appointed as Chief Representative for MEGA, a.s. (China). MEGA, a.s.(China) Beijing Representative Office will be located  at the Gao Xin Da Sha (New Technology Tower) at Guang Anmen Nan Bin He Road in central Beijing Xuan Wu district.

New MEGA´s branch office opening in Russia

A new branch office of MEGA was opened on 27th January, 2006 in Russian Federation.  Mr. Dmitrij Volodin was appointed a director of this office – see contacts.

MEGA’s representatives also attended a trade fair Milk industry 2006 in Moscow.

The main aim of the cooperation between MEGA a.s. and PBA - USA is to promote the potential successful entry of MEGA a.s. into the Chinese market and for the purpose of exploring all commercial opportunities for the applications of the technologies and products of MEGA a.s. in the Peoples' Republic of China (PRC).

Hetman of Liberec region visited MEGA

Mr. Petr Skokan a hetman of Liberec region visited MEGA´s branch office in Straz pod Ralskem. Managing director of MEGA Mr. Lubos Novak, Ph.D. spoke with him about history of the company and about present activities.

 During an excursion was presented production of ion-exchange membranes and hetman was informed about principle of electro-membranes technologies, mainly electrodialysis. Mr. Skokan enunciated  “ I have to say that I am very surprised that in our country is operating a company that provides technologies and services which only two other companies are able to offer in the world. As well as I was pleased that 40 % of employees are graduates because just at this moment our region lacks vacancies for this group of inhabitants”.

New administrative building of MEGA a.s.

MEGA’s employees moved from old and unsatisfactory administrative building to new one that meets European standards. By this step was finished the third phase of new MEGA´s area construction in Straz pod Ralskem.

MEGA CUP 2005 - traditional meeting in Malevil ranch in the Lusatian Mountains

The 6^th MEGA Cup tournament will be held on Saturday, June 4^th, 2005 in Malevil ranch, at Heřmanice in the Lusatian Mountains. The ranch offers sporting, cultural as well as accommodation facilities for its guests.
