QUALITY, ENVIRONMENT & OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY

     
The main goal of the quality, environment & occupational health and safety policy of the company MEGA a.s. is to satisfy requirements, needs and expectations of our customers, to minimize negative effects of our activities on environment, to strictly follow legislative and other regulations and standards as well as technical and quality parameters of supplied services and goods, to continuously extend and improve assortment of our products, to maintain our prices competitive, to improve flexibility of deliveries of our goods and services and to ensure continuous improvement in general. We especially want to achieve this goal in the following areas:

• complex solutions for water treatment and modification by means of application of membrane processes, from design to production and installation
• complex solutions for special industrial solutions treatment and modification using membrane processes
• complex deliveries and technical-technologic service of materials for surface finishing, especially surface finishing of metals
• complex solutions for environmental issues, implementation of environmental management in companies and municipalities, etc.

The company management is fully aware of its liability for environmental protection as well as for protection of occupational health and safety of our employees and other parties concerned.

1. In order to maintain and improve our market position, the company management announces the following strategic goals:

• to extend the scope of activity of our company and to expand to other countries in order to enlarge our customer portfolio,

• to rationalize and improve our quality, environment and occupational health and safety management system,
• to provide for a sufficient human and financial resources for further development of our company, to keep the prices at competitive levels and to obtain a required competence for the activities demanded in the market, especially by rationalization and improvement of the quality, environment and business management system,
• to rationalize and improve the system of economic management in order to assure the adequate human and financial resources for further growth of the company, competitive prices and to also the required qualification for the activities demanded in the market,
• to optimize our product portfolio,
• to accept only such orders and projects we are able to take care of properly, especially in terms of their quality,
• to improve our human resource activities,
• to improve our care of customers on the basis of the customer satisfaction survey results and thus improve the company image,
• to continuously improve our care of environment and working conditions with a special focus on prevention,
• to continuously monitor the applicable legislation and to ensure abidance by the legislation in all our workplaces,
• to continuously improve our care of occupational health and safety with special attention paid to prevention,
• to economize natural resources, especially raw materials, energy sources and water, in order to reduce waste and emissions,
• to cooperate with state bodies and authorities as well as special interest groups in such a way so the governmental, regional and environmental policy as well as specific requirements in the field of occupational health and safety are thoroughly followed,
• to keep the policy up-to-date on annual basis,
• to create such a conditions so the company goals may be achieved.

2. In order to support this quality policy, the company management commits itself to the following:

2.1 In general:

• to follow the legislative as well as other requirements applicable to the scope of business of the company,
• to ensure continuous improvement of the company undertakings and efficiency in the field of quality, environment protection and occupational health and safety,
• to make use of the employees´ experience and qualification for achievement of the company goals in accordance with the requirements on quality as well as with maximum regard for environment, safety and protection of occupational health and safety,
• to minimize the volume of waste and emissions as well as occupational injuries and vocational diseases as feasible in terms of technical and economic potentialities of the company,
• to prevent from wasting raw materials and energies by strict inspections of material inputs as well as technological procedures,
• to improve awareness of the company employees as well as employees from external companies concerning environmental protection, occupational health and safety, by regular and effective training,
• to apply the continuous improvement principle on QMS, EMS and occupational health and safety management system
• to improve the emergency preparedness by regular training and practical drills of employees,
• to promote implementation of QMS, EMS and occupational health and safety management system in plants of the company suppliers,
• to ensure that all the company activities are carried out with attention paid to protection of health and safety of employees,
• to plan and provide for a necessary human and financial resources for proper functioning of the integrated system.

2.2. Quality.

• to satisfy the customers by products and services the quality of that exceeds their expectations
• to keep the customers informed about newly implemented and developed technologies,
• to continuously improve quality of services based on customer requests and demands.

2.3. Environment.

• to follow the legislative requirements applicable to environmental protection with a special attention paid to prevention,
• to set goals for improvement of the environmental profile of the company and to improve the company environmental profile in a continuous and planned manner within the scope of development of the economical activities,
• to keep the employees and general public informed on effects of the company activities on environment and to keep a helpful communication with them in this area,
• to regularly review environmental policy and goals.

2.4 Occupational health and safety.

 

• to abide by legislative requirements as well as administrative resolutions applicable to the field of occupational health and safety with a special attention paid to prevention,
• to promote implementation of occupational health and safety management in cooperating companies,
• to keep the list of hazards and risks up-to-date including measures for their elimination or mitigation of their presence
• to strictly abide by safety precautions and standards in order to minimize occurrence of occupational injuries and vocational diseases,
• to anticipate and prevent occupational injuries,
• to regularly train employees and improve their emergency preparedness,
• to regularly review occupational health and safety management system goals and policy,
• to make the policy accessible to all employees as well as persons operating under the company control.

 3. The company expects from its employees the following:

• high level of awareness and commitment in the field of quality, environmental protection and prevention of occupational injuries,
